The Lower North Coast Dance Festival presents works of more than 1200 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 from schools across the Lower North Coast of NSW. Over four performances, audiences will be introduced to the range of different dance styles taught in public schools. Each performance displays the passion, skills and creativity of students and teachers as they explore the art of dance.
The aim of the Lower North Coast Dance Festival is to showcase high quality, well-choreographed items that use the Dance Syllabus as the foundation for creating work with integrity and merit. The focus of the Dance Festival is on producing excellence in Dance and promoting the high calibre of students, teachers, performers and choreographers in the Lower North Coast.
The festival dates for 2019 are: Monday 17 June - Thursday 20 June 2019 (Week 8, Term 2) at The Glasshouse, Port Macquarie.
Participation in the Lower North Coast Dance Festival is via an audition process. Schools interested in participating in the festival are required to prepare an audition of their dance item(s) and complete the application form online via the Perform @ Festival Page located under the APPLY tab.
